Dietary
The Dietary Department provides high quality, well-balanced meals and nourishments to patients as ordered by their physician. Our dining room is open to serve family members, visitors, and staff during mealtimes. In addition, a registered dietitian is on staff to perform nutritional assessments and make needed recommendations for high risk patients. Nutrition counseling on therapeutic diets, such as diabetic, low fat, low sodium, weight loss, etc., is provided to inpatients and outpatients as a service to the community. Emergency
Chatuge Regional Hospital is staffed 24 hrs/day with ACLS Physicians and ACLS Nurses. The ER is equipped to stabilize all life-threatening emergencies. Our ER staff is trained to evaluate and treat all medical conditions. It is the beginning point of being compliant with CMS (MEDICARE) protocols for admissions. Our ER is partnered with Georgia Telehealth for speciality physican consultations in the ER, including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.  

Laboratory
The Laboratory Department consists of state of the art analytical equipment and a highly trained staff of Medical Technologists, Medical Lab Technicians, and Phlebotomists. The Laboratory performs a wide array of services, including specimen collection, analytical & serologic testing, EKG's, and Holter/Cardiac Event Monitoring. Nursing

The purpose of the nursing department is to provide quality Nursing care to the residents of Towns County, including but not limited to emergency care, outpatient care, medical/surgical care, intensive care, swing bed services.

Pharmacy

The Pharmacy Department provides inpatien medication services, including consultations with physicians on dosing and medication guidelines. We have medications in stock for any cardiac problem, snake bite, etc...

We also provide medications for outpatients receiving the drug in the hospital. We have a pharmacist on site or on call 24 hours a day.

Rehab Department

The Rehab Department offers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services. Outpatient, Inpatient, and Swing Bed services are available. The office is located across from Chatuge Regional Hospital on Main Street.

Radiology
The Radiology Department at Chatuge Regional Hospital is please to offer X-Ray, CT, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Ultrasound, Echocardiography, and digital Mammography. Our department is staffed at all times. If you have a Doctor's order, and would like to make an appointment for an exam, please call 706-896-7170.

Respiratory Therapy
The Respiratory Therapy Department consist of five Respiratory Therapists, who, combined, have over 100 years of experience in their chosen field of expertise. The RT staff performs various procedures like inhalation medication treatments, educational consulting, lung function tests, life-saving airway / mechanical ventilation management, and supplemental oxygen delivery. Therapist are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. We strive to provide excellence through highly professional and qualified staff and use quality assurance measures and continuous improvement indicators to deliver the best respiratory care possible.

Swing Bed / Utilization Review / Social Services

The Swing Bed Program provides another level of care other than the acute care setting, It provides skilled nursing care before returning home or to a long term care facility.

A full range of services are offered for rehabilitation after a stroke, hip or knee replacement surgery, or rehab from a prolonged hospital stay.
