The Outpatient Department offers GI services, one day per week and outpatient nurses are available Monday through Friday and provide an array of services: IV antibiotic administration, catheter insertion, wound care.
This year we have become a participant in Telemedicine.  This allows local residents to come to Chatuge Regional Hospital and see a specialist via telecommunications.  It provides a in-person checkup to be conducted from remote locations.

Medical/Surgical/Swing bed is on the 1st floor of the Hospital and has 25 beds.  We have the ability to provide telemetry to 10 patients.

The Intensive Care Unit is a three bed unit with full critical care services.  The ICU is located next to the medical surgical unit.

The nursing staff, both at the hospital and nursing home, work together to provide continuity of care for the residents and patients of Chatuge Regional Hospital and Nursing Home.

 SWING BED PROGRAM

The Swing Bed Program is a service provided by Chatuge Regional Hospital that provides another level of careother than the acute care setting.  It is a setting that bridges the gap from hospital to home or a long term facility.  These patients require skilled care that must be provided by or under the supervision of professional personnel.

A full range of services are offered.  Therapies include rehabilitation after a stroke, hip or knee replacement surgery, IV medication therapy and strength training after a prolonged hospitalization.
